This guide works as of the 1 February 2018 build. The build relies on a single "combo turn" utilizing Catalyst multiple times to exponentially increase poison damage. I dunno, red doesn’t feel as tanky as I think it’s supposed to be.Build, card ranking, and strategy for Ascension Mode. Even that just pales in comparison to the big HP green guys with big heals, or yellow’s damage shield and lifesteal effects. The most armor I’ve ever gotten was playing purple with incant effects. Red seems like the weakest color since its armor gain doesn’t scale (except if you get specific spells and doublestack badges, maybe?) and rage/attack damage seems lackluster. Some counterplay or complications are fine obviously, but a lot of losses just feel like the game saying “nah.” So far the most reliable strategies for me are stacking thorns and big HP (green) or frostbite (purple). Lots of glass cannon type units (including the purple champion) get wiped by sweeps if you’re not careful.

The miniboss with 8 stealth screws you if you don’t have heavy thorns or revenge effects.Playing yellow with a ton of morsels is rad, but you’d better hope you don’t run into lots of extinguish effects on enemies later on.You run into a lot of situations that require pretty specific things, or punish whatever you might be trying. Compared to STS there’s a ton of cards to play with, but build variety is stifled by the enemy design. Still having fun, but the feeling of been there, done that is intensifying. You never know if the event is one that offers you a nice card but you used a hellvent or crucial spell/unit upgrades on less valuable cards.Ĭleared covenant 7 today. Alternatively, if that event has already happened and you come across this same rail layout, take the cavern first. You might lose the oppurtunity to make like 5 copies of an upgraded unit or spell. You never know if you come across that one event that let you duplicate cards. When you come across a rail with a unit banner, a merchant of steel/magic, and a concealed cavern at the same time, do not go to the cavern until you take care of upgrades and recruitement.

+1 draw is usually the safest bet but +1 capacity works great first for making big tanky floors of death or morsel feeding factories.Maybe consider getting one if you're fighting a Fel that summons scourge cards but only if your low on pyre health There are way too many cards that give you boosts to ember and opportunities to lower ember cost in cards. Hi here's some tips from a guy who just got to covenant 6. The other lucky break was I ran into that event that gives you a choice from other clan's rare cards, I chose Umbra and got Furnce Tap, and then things got silly because this combo happened (furnace tap is upgraded with doublestack lol)

Had an amazing deck, once again proving that you can (and should) totally go in with a deck in mind and work your draft around it, which I absolutely love (in this case I thought "man I miss playing that frost focused style I beat some early covenants with") but I had some nasty luck aswell, well, I guess you have to in these games, sometimes RNG fucks you, sometimes it helps, it is what it is.Ģ things in particular, one, I didnt run into any sweep enemies until the last floor, which had those guys that sweep and put emberstrike on who they hit, which is nasty but they actually dont have THAT much dmg themselves (its mainly the emberstrike that fucks you usually) so they actually couldnt kill the little stygian champ so I could heal him in between waves that didnt have sweep guys. Was playing Melting all morning, kept getting to floor 8 and losing, so I decided to go back to my Stygian frosty friend and finally beat Cov 9 :D
